The fluid evacuation starts by disconnecting washer motor and pump hoses located at the windshield. The windshield washer jar assembly removal process begins when you disconnect its 3 harness clamps together with the 2 connectors and 5 bolts which enables you to retrieve the jar. To finish the procedure remove the windshield washer motor and pump assembly by extracting it from the washer jar packing.
- Q: How to install the windshield Washer Pump assembly on Scion xB?A:To install the windshield washer motor and pump assembly you should place it directly onto the washer jar packing. Install the windshield washer jar components by fastening the 5 bolts with a torque of 5.5 Nm before connecting the 2 connector cords and securing the 3 harness clamps. Fifty-six kgf-cm (49 inch pounds) torque bolts should be added to secure the washer jar assembly onto its packing. Then you can attach the washer hose to the washer system. Finally pour washer fluid into the washer jar. Put on the front bumper cover and radiator grille before attaching the No. 1 radiator grille garnish.
